Brody Jenner slammed claims that his dad, Caitlyn Jenner, or anyone in the Kardashian-Jenner family has ever given him money.
“It’s funny that people think that, because, first off, my dad [Caitlyn] never gave any child support. It wasn’t like we were getting any money from the Kardashians ever,” Brody, 41, said during an interview with Bustle published on Tuesday, February 4.
A representative for Caitlyn, 75, told the outlet that Brody’s mom, Linda Thompson, “waived child support and alimony at the time of divorce in exchange for an upfront payment of 100 percent of the marital assets, which amounted to millions of dollars.”
The former reality star continued, “Kendall [Jenner] and Kylie [Jenner] are my sisters. We have the same last name, but we don’t share a bank account. I don’t get to go on the pink jet, though I would love to.”
Brody has also spoken out about his relationship with his father – who transitioned in 2015 – during his time on the reality show, Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, and they’ve had several ups and downs over the years.
“I’d randomly see him — ‘him’ at the time — you know, here and there,” Brody said during the January 15 episode. “But, mom would tell me that I would write on cards, ‘Why doesn’t Dad call me on my birthday?’”
He added, “I had an incredible mother. Father, Bruce, at the time, wasn’t around that much. They split, and then he met a woman. She had kids as well. The woman that he met … they had kids together.”
However, Brody understood that his dad was later struggling with things he was unaware of at the time.
“I will say he was going through his own struggles, transitioning, and it was all that was put on TV. There were these moments that we would have that was all filmed, and it just felt very invasive and not very genuine, I would say,” Brody said during the episode. “When I found out that Caitlyn, or Bruce, wanted to be Caitlyn, it was sort of a relief. I think that there were a lot of things that started to make sense, you know, just in my life, about my father, and maybe why he wasn’t there all those years.”
But Brody admitted that his relationship with his father had served as a blueprint for what not to do when it comes to raising his 17-month-old daughter, Honey, with his fiancée, Tiarah “Tia” Blanco.
“I’m gonna do the exact opposite of, as far as being there for her, as my father did for me,” Brody explained.
However, The Hills alum revealed that he’s still on good terms with Kylie, 27, and Kendall, 29, as well as former stepsisters Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian. Brody was able to spend time with them as they celebrated Caitlyn’s 75th birthday in October 2024.
“I love [them] all to death. I just don’t see them. Kim’s busy, Kourtney’s busy. I got to see them recently for Caitlyn’s [my dad’s] birthday,” Brody said during an appearance on Nick Viall’s podcast, “The Viall Files,” on January 22. “We went over to Kylie’s house. Kylie, unfortunately, wasn’t there [as] she was traveling back from New York, but they’re all busy. Everybody’s busy [with] doing their thing.”
Brody also noted that he and his sisters “didn’t grow up in the same household,” so things aren’t “that different” than they were in the past when it comes to how often he sees everyone.
“When we do see each other, it’s like no time has passed,” the DJ explained.
