Buccaneers Place Star WR on Injured Reserve, Likely to Miss Rest of the Season

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have placed star wide receiver Chris Godwin on injured reserve due to a dislocated ankle, and will likely be out for the remainder of the season.

ESPN's Adam Schefter shared the news via Twitter/X on Wednesday.

Buccaneers officially placed wide receiver Chris Godwin on injured reserve due to his dislocated ankle. He’s expected to be out for the season.

Godwin suffered the injury in the fourth quarter of their Monday night match against the Baltimore Ravens with one minute left in the game.

Godwin is one of two Bucs' pass catchers, including Mike Evans, who will miss significant time. Tampa Bay is 4-3 and second in the NFC South.
