Los Angeles Sparks star Cameron Brink just dropped a bombshell that has fans buzzing-Kendrick Lamar not only knows who she is but actually gave her a personal shout-out!
During a recent episode of her Straight to Cam podcast with Sydel Curry-Lee, Brink revealed that she boldly picked Lamar over his longtime rap rival, Drake, during the WNBA Draft's orange carpet Q&A session. While nearly everyone else chose Drake, Brink stood firm in her choice-and little did she know, Lamar himself would take notice.
"Fast forward to (the) USC-Notre Dame women's basketball game a while ago," Brink shared. "A guy came up to me with his super cute daughter. He was like, 'I work with Kendrick, and he noticed that you were the only person that said him. And he (expletive) with you. He says you're L.A.'"
An unforgettable moment for Brink
Brink, an unapologetic Kendrick superfan, could barely contain her excitement.
"I was like, 'Really!?' I was like, 'I love you, Kendrick!'" she recalled. "So then he was like, 'I'll take a video and I'll send it to him.' And in the video, I was like taking the phone, 'I love you, Kendrick!'"
Whether Lamar actually saw the message remains unknown, but for Brink, the moment was unforgettable.
"Maybe he was lying, I don't know," she laughed. "But I think he knows who I am, and that was a highlight of my life."
Kendrick should go to a Sparks game
Brink's revelation sent social media into overdrive, amassing 2.8 million views as of writing. Fans couldn't help but speculate-will she eventually meet Lamar in person? Perhaps even courtside at a Sparks game?
Meanwhile, the Sparks star is still recovering from the ACL tear that sidelined her for the 2024 WNBA season. In her latest updates, she reassured fans that she's making steady progress and plans to be ready for the regular season opener in May. If Kendrick's watching, he might just have to pull up for her comeback.
