Cameron Diaz has lifted the lid on her marriage to Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden.
The Holiday star, 52, will next year celebrate a milestone 10 years of marriage to the musician, 45.
Appearing on Benji's twin brother's podcast, Artist Friendly With Joel Madden, the pair spoke about how much their family relies upon therapy and she said she believes both parties have to be "100 per cent" committed to each other to make a marriage work.

''You can't be in a marriage and have a family if … both people are not 100 per cent every day. Nobody can be 99 and the other one be 100," she said.
"Even if you're mad at each other or don't want to see each other ... it's still 100 per cent commitment to the marriage and partnership and getting things in the family.
"If it's not 100 per cent, it doesn't work if one person is at a deficit."
Diaz added, "Therapy is a big thing in our family."

"It's what we depend on, so you have that commitment to work on it, to not just do the same thing over and over again, trying to figure out if doing it again will make it work this time.
"But going like, 'Why didn't it work? How can I make it work? What's my part? What's the other person's work? Let's be self-aware and go into the next attempt a little bit more equipped to hopefully come out with a different outcome.'"

Joel likened therapy to going to a "gym".
The pair started dating in May 2014 and tied the knot at her Beverly Hills mansion in January 2015.

"I do think that marriage, when you can grow with someone, it's very important," Diaz previously said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
She added that marriage helped her learn more about herself.
"Someone asked me, 'What's your favorite thing about being married?' and I said, 'I just learned so much about myself. I didn't know these things. I would have never known them if I didn't have my husband to help me."
The pair, who are notoriously private, now have two children together.
