Candace Owens is known for her outspoken nature and controversial takes, with her latest having nothing to do with race, gender, or politics.
The conservative pundit recently questioned the purpose of white crayons, leaving many of her social media followers confused by the inquiry. The tweet, which began trending almost immediately, found Owens sharing that her daughter was coloring when she noticed the white crayon “doesn’t work.” This led Owens to question its purpose, even tagging the Crayola company in her X post.
“My two year old daughter just came over to me with a white crayon and said “mommy it doesn’t work”.
And I think it’s perfectly reasonable to ask @Crayola what exactly is the point of the white crayon,” she posted.
While it’s possible Owens was being facetious, many pointed out the rather obvious fact that not all paper is white, and that a white crayon would only “work” on colored paper.
“There is so much I could do with that, but let us just point out that they actually make black paper,” wrote one follower, with another simply posting, “colored paper is a thing.”
Others offered more sincere responses, with one woman sharing, “It works great on black construction paper!! You can make a nighttime, snowy scene!”
The questionable inquiry came one day after Owens’ interview with Judge Joe Brown, which was shared to her YouTube channel. The conversation involved the pair discussing the presidential race and questioning candidate, Vice President Kamala Harris, fitness for office. Brown also claimed that Harris is related to actor Jussie Smollett during the sit-down.
