The rapper took to social media on Wednesday, Oct. 23 to announce that she would no longer be performing at the festival following a “medical emergency” that left her hospitalized.

“I am so sad to share this news, but i’ve been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency the last couple of days and I wont be able to perform at ONE MusicFest,” she began in a short statement. “It breaks my heart that I won’t get to see my fans this weekend and I really wish I could be there. Bardi Gang – thank you for understanding and I’ll be back better and stronger soon. Don’t Worry. Love yall.”

Posting the note on X, Cardi added, “Thank you guys for understanding… I will see you soon 🫶🏼.”

The two-day festival is going down on Saturday and Sunday; Cardi was set to perform on Saturday. She was one of the event’s headliners alongside Victoria Monét, Gunna, Glorilla, Jill Scott, Earth, Wind & Fire, Nelly, and Method Man.

This disappointing news comes just over a month after Cardi gave birth to her third child with Offset, with whom she’s currently going through a divorce. According to reports from PEOPLE, despite expressing her desire to coparent, the relationship between the two is anything but amicable at the moment.

“Cardi tries very hard for things to be amicable with Offset,” the insider told the outlet. “She’s forgiven him for so much in the past because she wants the best for their kids.”

They continued, “She’s furious with Offset again. Their relationship has always been very up and down. Cardi always moves on though.”

The source went on to say, “She’s a great mom and this is her focus.”

The former reality star and the Migos rapper are parents to daughter Kulture, 6, son Wave, 3, and a baby girl born in September.
