Cardi B Fires Back at Fans Hating on Her Scrapped Song: 'I'm So Over Everybody'

Cardi B isn’t thrilled with how some of her fans have reacted to one of her scrapped tracks.

During a X Spaces live stream on Tuesday, the 32-year-old rapper vented her frustrations over fans’ reactions to a clip she posted on her Instagram broadcast channel.

In the clip, Cardi is seen in a recording studio rapping along to a scrapped song from 2019 while explicitly stating, “I hate this song.”

“I really want some of y'all to stop being fucking dumb, stupid and slow, okay? Dumb, just fucking stupid and fucking slow and overly opinionated. Just overly opinionated,” Cardi said on X Spaces.

She continued, “Sometimes I listen to old songs or scrapped songs. Just because a song is scrapped, there might be two or three lines that it’s like, ‘Oh shit, its fire’ and I could use it on a new song. Or sometimes there's old songs that I don't like the whole song completely, but I might like the beat … Even if they’re scrapped I like to rehear shit just in case I find a fucking line that I like and I could reuse it, because the song is completely fucking scrapped.”

The “Enough” rapper explained that she specifically chose to share the clip of the unreleased song because she thought the line, “Main n***a, side n***a, fuck them n***as,” was “funny.”

Elsewhere into the stream, she criticized their demands for songs related to her divorce from Offset and personal life, while also reminding them she has “over 100 songs” in the vault.

“Y’all might not even see me for the rest of the fucking year. I'm so over everybody, I need time for myself,” Cardi said at the end of the broadcast. “I got like three more bookings, that's when you're going to see me. Other than that, I don't want to deal with nobody, deadass.”

“I already know how I'm coming next year, so I gotta focus on myself. I already had enough fun. I had my fun. I got that shit out of my fucking system and y'all just doing too much,” she added.

Cardi’s long-delayed sophomore album, rumored to be called Defamation of Character, was expected to be released in 2024.

Despite not releasing a complete body of work since 2016’s Invasion of Privacy, Cardi said in September that her debut album is “still sellin like good quality pussy.”
