Cardi B slams Offset and claims he didn't buy their children Christmas gifts to spite her

Cardi B, who has filed for divorce from Offset for the second time, went on an expletive-ridden rant claiming the rapper didn't buy their kids Christmas presents in order to 'spite' her

Rapper Cardi B, 32, has accused her on-again, off-again partner Offset, 33, of skimping out on Christmas gifts for their children.

Rappers Cardi and Offset began dating in early 2017, and secretly got married in September of that year - one month before he staged a public proposal. They went on to welcome daughter Kulture, six, and son Wave, three, alongside a third daughter - whose name hasn’t yet been revealed - in September 2024. Alongside the three kids shared with Cardi, Offset also has three older children from three former relationships.

In a rant posted on X Spaces - a place on Twitter for audio conversations - Cardi B ranted that Offset didn’t get any presents for their kids, but did for his other three. "By the way, do you guys know that my kids didn't receive no Christmas gifts from somebody in particular?," she started her rant.

"Motherf**kers want to make a scene on social media, like I was keeping my kids away from them, like to make movies on social media but to purposefully fly to New York to buy their kids gifts. And guess how many gifts that they bought my kids? Zero!"

The Hustlers star continued: "You just called your daughter for the first time this year, yesterday. Your newborn. You love your kids so much and you didn't bought them s**t for Christmas.

"But you came to New York to buy your other kids gifts. But you didn't bought my kids s**t on purpose to spite me. Mind you, we was cool. We wasn't f**king, but we was cool. Stop f**king playing with me."

Cardi’s rant comes amid her divorce from Offset. Cardi first revealed that she’d been “single for a minute now” back in December 2023, and took their separation a step further by filing for divorce the following July. A rep for Cardi told People magazine at the time: "It's not based on cheating rumours, but rather has been a long time coming."

It's believed to be the second time that Cardi has filed for divorce from Offset. The pair has been famously on and off, with their first separation coming in December 2018, before they reunited in 2019. Then, she went on to file for divorce in 2020, but they were understood to have rekindled their relationship just a month later.

The couple’s third child was born after the couple had already split, and Cardi opened up about how her experiences of motherhood were different the third time around, and that she had new methods of fighting off postpartum depression. "This is my third baby and postpartum is a little different from my first two...", she shared on X soon after the birth.

"I'm not doing heaving lifting, no muscle straining, squatting none of that... just cardio. Sometimes to avoid postpartum depression you gotta keep your mind busy and for me that's work and staying active…”
