A lucky cat owner shared a clip of his fur-baby acting like she's obsessed with him, and internet users are jealous.
The viral TikTok video shared earlier in December under the username @m4il1iw, shows the tabby cat climbing onto her owner's chest and face, holding him down with her paws as she aggressively kisses him all over.
The poster definitely won the kitty lottery but even if your cat seems cold and distant you can still win their love.
An article by Georgia-based veterinarian Dr. Jess Kirk, shared on Vet Explains Pets, says that cats don't just stick to us because we provide them with food and comfort but can actually form deep emotional bonds with their owners.
But how can you tell if your fur-baby loves you? Some cats, like the one in the clip, show pretty obvious signs of affection but others show their love in more subtle ways.
Purring, head-butting, kneading, and following you around the house are usually signs that your kitty loves you. Other signs of affection include rubbing against you, grooming you or bringing you gifts such as toys or prey.
Your cat's love depends on the depth of your emotional investment in them. Research by the University of Lincoln in the U.K. has found that the more you love your cat, the more they love you back.
If your cat doesn't seem very attached, you can win their love by spending more time together, doing things that they enjoy, like playing and cuddling.
Cats who love their owners can sometimes be jealous or possessive toward them too, especially if you have more than one cat demanding your love. That's why it's important, even if you have a favorite, to spend equal time with all your cats and give them all love, to avoid causing unnecessary conflicts.
The TikTok video quickly went viral and has so far received over 11.7 million views and 2.4 million likes.
One viewer, Stef, commented: "He's all yours chill."
Kyung Mi said: "She's so real for that."
Elizabeth wrote: "Damn the cat has a better love life than me."
Michaela added: "The cat had cuteness aggression."
