"Thank you for the last 8 1/2 years!" Alexander said. "Being a professional wrestler has been a dream of mine since I could form memories and I will continue to do so till the good Lord says otherwise."
Alexander then ended the post with "#SeeYouIn90," referring to WWE's 90 day non-compete clause.
Alexander immediately found support from his colleagues and the wrestling community.
In fact, former WWE rival and current TNA wrestler Mustafa Ali replied, saying, "In the dark I feel at home," which are the lyrics to his original entrance theme.
In the WWE, Alexander is most well-known for his time as part of the Cruiserweight division in the late 2010s and his tenure with the Hurt Business alongside Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP.
Alexander is a one-time Cruiserweight Champion and one-time WWE Raw Tag Team Champion alongside Benjamin.
