"Trevor often reminded us to 'be bold, be different, but always do everything in good taste.' His ethos of kindness, care, and excellence continues to guide us. He expressed immense pride in our team and confidence in our commitment to carrying forward his legacy."

As per his wishes, there will be no funeral. In lieu of flowers, the team instead requested donations to four charities close to his heart, Marie Curie, Cancer Research UK, Rowans Hospice and My New Hair – the last of which he founded himself after creating a wig for his brother's wife as she battled bone cancer. The charity, which created realistic wigs for cancer patients, was recently brought before the government for their consideration.

It was just last month when Sorbie appeared on the British morning television show he is a regular on, This Morning, to announce that the bowel cancer he was first diagnosed with in 2019 had spread to his liver and had become terminal, giving him only months to live.

"I lost a lot of blood one night and I was unusually disturbed about that. I went to the hospital and they told me I had bowel cancer," he recalled in an appearance alongside his wife Carole.

"I had a little panic attack and Carole and I looked at each other, and we were just both speechless walking down the road… I didn't know what to say. I went and had a big gin and tonic and that helped.

"But then it spread to my liver. I had a six-hour operation, but it came back to my liver, had another operation, and now the major [growth] they won't cut it out because it's too close to a major blood vessel."

He shared, "I had a nurse the other day come around to assess me and I said 'Will I make Christmas?' and she said, 'I don't know Trevor' and I said 'I damn well will!"

Unfortunately, his wish did not come true. Sorbie is survived by Carole and one daughter.
