Charlotte Crosby has broken her silence after her horror break-in and revealed she has been hospitalised.

The Geordie Shore star, who is currently eight months pregnant, was in the home with her two-year-old Alba when masked thieves broke in. Her fiancé Jake Ankers said he tried to chase the four robbers, who were armed with a machete, out of the house but wasn't able to catch them.

Now, 34-year-old Charlotte shared an update with her followers on Instagram and said all her plans for Black Friday deals have been "crippled" after the break-in, which she admitted she is still struggling to come to terms with. She added she is now in hospital but reassured her fans that her baby is fine.

However, she revealed her disappointment after experiencing "misfortune after misfortune" this month. In her latest update on her Instagram Stories, Charlotte wrote: "[Two crying face emojis] Can't believe all my plans for our huge Black Friday activation have been crippled! As I'm typing this I'm laid in hospital. Baby is all fine thank you for all the messages!

"But I was meant to be at work today! Getting the message out to you all about our HUGE Black Friday celebration! And showing you all the amazing deals we have on! This month has had misfortune after misfortune. I want to thank you all for your kind messages about the break-in the other night. Still something I'm really struggling to come to terms with."

She then shared a link to the official Instagram page of her business, Pepper Girls Club, and urged fans to visit the page to discover all about its Black Friday promotion, with discounts up to 85 per cent. Sharing details of the break-in on Thursday, Jake said: "I can't believe I'm saying this but some little c***s have tried to rob my house with my two-year-old and my partner who is nearly eight months pregnant, armed with a machete."

He said he chased the four robbers but wasn't able to catch them, adding: "One of them who was in the house at the top of the stairs had a red balaclava on. He is the one that had the machete. Me little girl's in the house. Me partner's in the house."

The 33-year-old urged his Instagram followers to share any information with him. Charlotte and Jake moved into their home together in 2021. They renovated the lavish property, which was said to be worth in excess of £1million.

A police statement read: "Police were called shortly before 7pm on Thursday (November 21) to reports of a burglary at an address in Houghton-le-Spring. Officers attended the area however the suspects left the scene before their arrival. Nobody was injured in the incident and no items are believed to have been taken. An investigation is now underway and anyone with information is asked to contact West CID on 101 quoting incident number 365 of November 21."

The news was a crushing blow to Charlotte and Jake who announced in September they are expecting their second child. Alongside sharing the news of the pregnancy, Charlotte announced a new collection for her fashion brand Pepper Girls Club. She wrote in her post: "In my babies and business ERA. Delighted to announce baby Ankers number 2 is due January 2025 and also delighted to announce @peppergirlsclub AW collection is live now RIGHT NOW!!!!"

She added: "I really wanted to combine these 2 moments as everything I've been building with Pepper over the last few years is for my family and I'm so proud of it!! We are so excited to be a family of 4!" A month later, the couple announced they are set to welcome a baby girl.
