The Kansas City Chiefs have been without two of their most important star players through most of the regular season. Running back Isiah Pacehco has been sidelined since Week 2, and defensive end Charles Omenihu has yet to make his 2024 regular season debut.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has offered updates about both recently, dating back to Week 11 when he revealed that both were being activated off IR and rejoined practice. Now, Reid has offered another important update on the pair.

"We'll see on both those two. Go through practice and see where we're at. Day-by-day type thing," Reid stated.

When Reid was asked about the availability of both Pacheco and Omenihu, he revealed they were both going to go through practice and see if they might be able to suit up in Week 12. There were indications from Week 11 that both would be prepared to suit up in Week 12, but that has not yet been fully confirmed.

The Chiefs have made do without the pair. To make up for losing Pacehco, former Kansas City running back Kareem Hunt was brought back. Hunt has been solid on the ground, bringing in 505 rushing yards and five touchdowns. He has also added 116 receiving yards as well.

With Hunt and Pacheco returning, the Chiefs could have one of the best running back duos in the league.

Omenihu suffered a torn ACL in the AFC Championship game and has been in recovery. Though it can typically take a year to recover from such an injury, the star defensive end might be back a shade under a year.

Even Hollywood Brown got a massive update. He recently posted on X, lighting the internet on fire. His post was a simple clock emoji, but it was enough of a hint that he would be returning soon.

Reid has now confirmed that belief. When asked about Brown potentially returning soon, Reid stated:

"Making very good progress. Can't tell you when he'll [Brown] be back. He's another one that is excited to get back out here and get going."

Brown suffered a sternoclavicular injury and has yet to make his 2024 season debut. However, it sounds like he could be ready to go by the season's end, or during the Chiefs' playoff push.

Either way, the Chiefs could be getting back three of their biggest stars by the time January rolls around. This will be huge for the team that continues to be the AFC Super Bowl hopeful.
