A new documentary is in the works about alleged abuse at the hands of Chris Brown, and a Jane Doe has levied a major accusation against him.
The “Sensational” singer is being accused of raping an unnamed woman while attending a yacht party hosted by Sean “Diddy” Combs in 2020.
“We had talked, and he had handed me a drink. I’m not even sure… this is when my memory starts getting a little bit weird,” she claimed in the doc per PEOPLE. “I don’t remember if I saw him pour it, but I just drank it and he just hands me another drink. As I’m standing there, I did start to feel tired and my body was feeling a little heavy.”
She continued,
“I remember I did lay back and I’m like, ‘Why can’t I get up?’ Next thing I know he was on top of me and I couldn’t move and I said ‘No’ and then I felt him… next thing I knew he was inside me, I was so disgusted.”
Jane Doe also claims that she continued to text Brown after the incident to “gain clarity” but after seeing a therapist, she was able to confirm that the singer had assaulted her.
“I know it for a fact. Instead of telling myself that it wasn’t. It was. It was rape,” she said.
Jane Doe’s case against the singer was dismissed by a judge in 2022 “without prejudice” citing “lack of prosecution” and her legal team, at the time, dropped her when the texts between her and the singer were discovered, PEOPLE reports.
Another alleged victim, Liziane Gutierrez, also appears in the documentary and claims that Brown punched her in the face during a hotel party in 2016.
“When I saw Chris Brown, he was acting weird. Extremely weird. And then I decided to grab my phone and take a picture of him,” she claims. “Once I got my phone, he saw me with my phone. Chris Brown punched me in the face. His security grabbed my phone and I got escorted out of the party … I’m not saying it was right what I did with my phone. I know that. But that doesn’t give you the right to punch me in the face.”
According to TMZ, Gutierrez sued Brown in 2016 and the pair settled the case privately in 2017 though the singer was never formally charged and denied meeting her at all.
Brown has faced accusations of violence against both men and women; however, this documentary seems to claim it goes deeper than what was publicly known.
