Chyler Leigh, Andie MacDowell & More of 'The Way Home' Cast Tease Season 3: 'Buckle Up, Kids!'

With New Year’s almost here, it’s nearly time for us to prepare for another exciting date: the premiere of The Way Home season 3! That’s right, the beloved Hallmark show will be returning to our screens this week, on January 3.

But while the premiere is just a few days away, we sat down with the stars of the show Chyler Leigh, Andie MacDowell, Evan Williams and Sadie Laflamme-Snow to talk about what’s to come.

When we asked Laflamme-Snow for three words to describe Alice’s storyline this year, she teased quite an interesting journey.

“Bravery, romance and sisterhood,” she said.

As for MacDowell, she gave a little more detail on Del’s season ahead. “I would say she started off very open and vulnerable, vulnerable because of Jacob, open because she takes a leap of faith to try romance and then I would say brave – and I won’t say why,” she teased.

As a reminder, season 2 ended with adult Jacob returning to the present and getting ready to reunite with Del after 20 years away. Knowing how complicated and gut-wrenching that must feel for a mom, we can’t wait to see how that storyline pans out.

We then asked Leight and Williams the same question. At first, the Grey’s Anatomy alum had a hard time coming up with words. After all, given how season 2 ended with her finally bringing Jacob home and her finding out that her potential love interest Thomas isn’t actually dead, there’s a lot of drama for her to work through.

“Buckle up, kids!” Leigh then proclaimed.

Williams, who plays Kat’s love interest and longtime best friend Elliot on the show, also struggled to come up with three words. His answer, however, might have viewers more confused than ever.

“Dream or reality,” he said.

Does this mean Elliot will time-travel like he did at the end of season 2 and lose sense of what’s real? Does this mean Elliot’s dream of being with Kat will never become a reality? Who knows!

“If that doesn’t explain us in six words, I don’t know what does,” Leigh then joked of her and Williams’ dynamic.
