At CES 2025, MacPaw unveiled a new version of CleanMyMac for small and medium businesses. You interact with it differently than traditional CleanMyMac, but you still get the same suite of tools to help maintain your Mac. CleanMyMac Business focuses on affordability, ease, and transparency.
How it works
In many small and medium businesses, IT administrators often don’t have an appropriate amount of time, budget, or specialized tools to properly supervise their organizations Macs. CleanMyMac Business aims to solve this, by allowing reliable Mac maintenance and cleanup tools to run automatically across an entire fleet of Macs. It’s also very easy to use, making it great for non-IT professionals as well.
CleanMyMac Business compliments existing MDM platforms, which often focus on advanced device management, including security monitoring. CleanMyMac Business focuses more on keeping your fleet of Macs optimized. Plus, unlike other MDM tools, users have a menu bar item that allows them to monitor what’s being run on their computer, keeping users in the loop. This approach makes it easier for employees to communicate concerns with IT admins if needed.
There’s an incredible admin dashboard (web app) that allows admins to easily monitor an entire fleet of Macs, and check in on details such as each devices Mac Health Score. That score is calculated using various attributes of a Mac, including battery health, boot time, storage, and more. The dashboard provides a great overview of how CleanMyMac Business has helped your fleet as well.
Features
With CleanMyMac Business, you can monitor and automate the following things across your company:
- App updates
- Disk cleaning
- Eliminating app leftovers and cache files
- Monitoring malware with Moonlock
- And more!
CleanMyMac Business also has compliance checks, allowing you to assure that every Mac in your fleet aligns with the security settings you’ve set up as an admin. Some of the settings you can configure are System Integrity Protection, FileVault, whether or not guest accounts are enabled, screen lock passwords, auto-login status, and Time Machine Backup status.
Essentially, CleanMyMac Business takes many of the great tools in the consumer version of CleanMyMac, and puts it in the hands of IT admins to run at scale. Many companies don’t allow employees to install CleanMyMac on work devices, so this is a great solution.
CleanMyMac Business is available now with a two-week, no credit card required free trial. For the smallest businesses, it’ll cost $36/month per user, and prices lower as you scale up.
