Commanders' Sam Cosmi Will Miss Rest of Playoffs With Torn ACL

The Washington Commanders stunned the Detroit Lions in the Divisional Round of the Playoffs. Despite the big 45-31 win, the Commanders suffered a big loss on their offensive line.

Standout guard Sam Cosmi went down during the showdown, and it was believed that he had suffered a significant injury. Following an MRI, the news has been delivered.

Cosmi will be out for the rest of the 2024 playoffs and could miss significant time in 2025.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport delivered the news that Cosmi suffered a torn ACL. He will miss the rest of the playoffs and could miss most of the 2025 season.

It can generally take around a year to recover fully from a torn ACL, and Cosmi might not heal in time to return to the Commanders' lineup in 2025.
