Coronation Street favourite, Alya Nazir, is coming back to the Cobbles soon – and she's going to be busy.
Played by Sair Khan, Alya left mid-episode back in May, but is set to reunite with her grandmother, Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King). Before she left, Alya was wrapped up in a romantic relationship with her former boss, Adam Barlow (Sam Roberston). The storyline was not closed, and Corrie fans have been dying to know what happened between them. She left for Dublin for a six month placement at a law firm.
But now, she's back – and she will be busy. In new Coronation Street spoilers, we learn she becomes implicated in a disturbing case as soon as she returns to her home town.

Carla Connor (Alison King) is involved in an attack and ends up close to death in a hospital bed. DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) thinks newcomer Matty Radcliffe is responsible. Mason's brother has caused issues for Betsy Swain and the family, and she does not trust him.
However, Alya is brought in for questioning and she confirms his alibi, leaving him appearing innocent. Lisa is out for blood, and continues to involve Alya into the case trying to reveal the truth behind Carla's attack.
Alya believes Matty's innocence, and she has a new job shadowing a criminal solicitor. There, she puts her training to the test and is forced to make a complaint against Lisa. She alleges harassment against her client.
Lisa denies this by claiming she bumped into him outside, but Kit Green gets suspicious of her story. But that's not the only place Alya has her mind.
As she leaves the station she bumps into her former lover, Adam. There they share a romantic moment and Adam invites her out for dinner.
Old love could be back on the cards. Speaking about what brings Alya back, Sair said to Manchester Evening News: "Alya makes a very unexpected return. Where we find her is not where you expect her to be, and where you expect her to show up. So that throws a spanner in the works at the very beginning.
"Alya has definitely had a complete revamp, and I think getting away from the street, really focusing on her career and where she wants to be, has ignited a new spark in her."
Coronation Street is on ITV at 8pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday and available to stream from 7am on ITVX
