“I’m not a Nazi! I’m the opposite of a Nazi!” Trump said. His running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), has also pushed back on accusations that Trump is Hitler.
“This is an interesting debate,” Chieng said. “Because Kamala [Harris] has actually never called Trump Hitler.”
Then he offered the former president an awkward reminder.
“JD Vance did, though,” Chieng pointed out.
Vance in 2016 told a friend in a private message that he wasn’t sure if Trump was “a cynical asshole like Nixon” or if he could be “America’s Hitler.”
