Dame Judi Dench gobsmacked as her PARROT hits out at her in foul-mouthed rant

Dame Judi Dench has opened up about her beloved parrot, Sweetie and revealed some of the choice words the feathered animal has for the legendary actress

Dame Judi Dench has been slammed by her own parrot in an explosive rant.

The legendary actress, 89, will celebrate her 90th birthday in just a matter of days and despite being one of the most-loved stars in the nation, her parrot doesn't always think the same. Dame Judi who is best known for playing the likes of M in James Bond, as well as Queen Elizabeth I has opened up in a rare interview about her life.

Speaking about her life away from the cameras, Dame Judi revealed she often spends a great deal of time speaking to her partner, David Mills, 81, who she has been in a relationship with since 2010. Dame Judi found love with David after her husband, Michael Williams, passed away from lung cancer in 2001.

But it's not just conservationist David who the Philomena actress enjoys engaging in conversation with. While she admits she's "hopeless at my own company," it's her beloved African grey parrot, Sweetie, who she also confides in. Speaking to The Sunday Times, The Tony Award-winning star revealed that those meeting Sweetie should know that she has a rather foul mouth.

She told the outlet: "We had a long chat just now. You shouldn't ask what she says. She says 'You're a sl*t', 'you're a sl*g', she has said 'Boris Johnson' but she didn't get that from me. She listens to the radio. My God, she's funny though, she's very, very funny. Everybody should have a parrot, or a myna bird. Their voices are absolutely incredible."

Meanwhile, a source who attended The Christmas Edition of I Remember It Well with Dame Judi and Gyles Brandreth at London's Sondheim Theatre told the Mirror that Dame Judi informed the audience Sweetie had a rather scathing comment about her grandson's girlfriend. Dame Judi told the crowd Sweetie branded Sam Williams' girlfriend "a sl*t," after she revealed she was wearing thermal underwear to keep warm.

But while Sweetie isn't using explosive language, Dame Judi previously spoke about her winged friend after she begged Sweetie for help after suffering a nasty fall at her home in Surrey. The star whose eyesight is deteriorating due to macular degeneration, previously told how she lay on the floor for 30 minutes after falling over at her Surrey home.

Speaking in 2022, Dame Judi said: "I had a frightful fall not long ago. I tripped over the carpet, and there was nobody in the house and I was lying on the ground unable to get up for half an hour. I have a wonderful parrot who kept saying, 'What are you doing? What are you doing?' This is when you need a very convenient parrot who would phone somebody – but she didn't."

Ahead of her upcoming birthday, she confirmed she's heading out for dinner with her daughter Finty Williams and her grandson Sam Williams, who has also become a name in his own right after becoming a hit on TikTok. 007 producer Barbara Broccoli is also taking her for lunch at The Ivy.
