Dame Kristin Scott Thomas has confirmed she married in a secret wedding back in September.
The Bafta Award-winning actress, known for her roles in The English Patient, Four Weddings and a Funeral and Slow Horses, commented on her marriage for the first time, confirming she married Bloomberg News editor-in-chief John Micklethwait.
The confirmation came through an interview on the Ruthie's Table podcast with host Ruth Rogers.
"Kristin is basking in love and the joy of just a few weeks ago marrying the editor and my friend John Micklethwait," Rogers said as she introduced her chat with Thomas.

Later in the episode, the actress shared a few details of the wedding.
She revealed the wedding took place in Rutland, a county in the East Midlands of England where her husband's family is from.
Then she shared that they were treated to coronation chicken - a classic British recipe - for their wedding meal.
"I know, it was a treat. It was absolutely delicious," she gushed as she recalled the meal.

Thomas also opened up about a sentimental gift she received from her sister - a collated recipe book filled with long-held family recipes from her mother, grandmother and great grand mother "on both sides".
"My sister got all the family recipes that my mother had collected from my great grandmother in Scotland to the other one in wherever, I mean, all over the place, and scanned them all and made them all into a book, photographed them and then gave us all a book," she said.
"It's a fantastic present."

Last month, The Independent reported friends of the couple had been told the wedding took place in September with just family members present. But this is the first time Thomas has spoken about the marriage herself.
The couple have reportedly been together for five years.
Thomas is known for keeping her relationship private. When asked about Micklethwait in an interview with The Financial Times in December 2023 she responded, "I'm not going to talk about him. I'm talking about me."
