Dan Walker meets Helen Skelton outside bakery
Dan Walker was forced to abandon his car in the middle of the road as he risked being late for work.
The former BBC Breakfast host, now the weekday radio show presenter on Classic FM, ventured out into the enchanting snowy landscape of the UK today.
For the first time since 2010, England has been graced with November snowfall, resulting in significant disruption as a thick blanket of snow settled overnight from Monday into Tuesday morning.
In his home city of Sheffield, Dan awoke to a breathtaking winter wonderland. The world outside his window was transformed, with shimmering white snow gracefully covering the branches of trees and the tops of bushes, creating a picturesque scene reminiscent of a holiday postcard.
Unable to contain his excitement, he quickly took to Instagram, sharing a captivating photo that captured the serene beauty of the snow-draped landscape.

But shortly after his initial post about the snow, Dan shared a snap of his car, which he had to abandon after it broke down.
Dan's car broke down while he was en route from his home to the Classic FM studio, and he then documented his car horror on social media.
"Had to abandon broken down car in the snow this morning. Very late for Classic FM show," he penned on X and Instagram, alongside a snap of his car.
"Hopefully on air soon. Stay safe out there," he concluded.

It comes as the former BBC Breakfast presenter returned to Channel 5 back in September for a new series of his travel show with Helen Skelton.
Dan previously shared advice with Helen that his wife, Sarah Walker, had given him regarding his behaviour while filming.
He said: "My wife told me I cannot do a Yorkshire accent on this series. That's the one thing she said, 'You must not do a Yorkshire accent."
He then humorously instructed Helen to intervene should he inadvertently attempt the accent. He said: "If you hear me slip into it you've just... you've got to stop me."
Helen responded, picturing Sarah's expression when laying down the rule, "I can picture Sarah's face saying that to you as well."

The former BBC Breakfast presenter let slip the essence of his dynamic with Helen, who is widely recognised for her stints on Countryfile and Blue Peter.
Sharing insights into their camaraderie on-screen and during walks, Dan described their personalities as quite "similar".
During a chat with TV Times, Dan said: "We're similar, and we care about each other. But we laugh at each other, too, and, on our walks, we ask silly questions and list things like our top 10 Helens, from Helen Hunt to Helen of Troy. Helen Skelton was No 7."
