Dancing on Ice fans were quick to crown a winner of the ITV skating show after TV host Michaela Strachan's 'amazing' debut on the ice on Sunday night's show
Dancing on Ice enthusiasts are buzzing with predictions that Michaela Strachan is set to skate her way to victory in the brand new series after a smashing initial skate.
The telly host swept everyone off their feet, nabbing a whopping 30.5 out of 40 points from the judges – the top score of the eve. One keen fan gushed on X: "Michael's 1st competitor who actually looks confident on the ice, potential winner #DancingOnIce."
Another user tweeted in excitement: "Yesssss Michaela! ! ! My winner right there", while another joined the chorus, saying: "Michaela is already my winner...."
And one more chimed in: "Knew it. Solo skating, great performance. Michaela Strachan is our first female Dancing on Ice winner in 12 years #DancingOnIce.", reports the Mirror.
Dancing On Ice has glided back onto our screens with a fresh batch of celebs, including soap opera stars, Olympic heroes, and reality TV darlings, all strapping on their skates to battle it out for the top prize.
The ITV show is hosted by the dazzling duo Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern, while ice skating royalty Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, alongside telly faves Ashley Banjo and Oti Mabuse, take the judges' seats.
Before the stars dazzled on the rink, Holly and Stephen paid a heartfelt homage to past contestant James Lee Williams, aka The Vivienne, who tragically passed away on January 5. However, the tribute left some Dancing on Ice viewers cold, with one fan moaning on social media: "Was that seriously the tribute for The Vivienne they were talking about? ?
"Hoping there's something else later on in the show because that's the only reason why I tuned in icl #DancingOnIce."
Another was equally unimpressed, commenting: "No for real I was expecting so much more", and a third echoed: "Really disappointing actually."
