EastEnders: Janine is taken away in police car after arrest
Dancing On Ice star Charlie Brooks has hinted viewers haven't seen the last of her EastEnders character, Janine Butcher.
The TV favourite, 43, rose to fame at the age of 26 when she joined the long-running BBC soap as the troublesome teen back in 1999.
During her time on the show, her meddlesome character became known for her schemes after she murdered her husband and framed her friend Stacey Slater for attempted murder.
In 2022, the blonde bombshell bid farewell to Albert Square after her character was slapped with a five-year prison sentence for perverting the course of justice, but if the character got time off for good behaviour, a return could indeed be imminent.
Now, the West End star is set to make her skating debut on Dancing on Ice next weekend with her professional figure skating partner, Eric Radford.

As the actress prepares to wow the judges, she joined Mark Wogan on his podcast Spooning with Mark Wogan, where she reminisced about her time on the London-based soap.
The beloved host asked her if she would ever make a comeback, to which she replied: "I can never say it's definitively closed, because I really enjoyed my time at EastEnders. It always feels like a bit of a home for me.
"I love the people there, I've made some really good friends over the years and and so, the beautiful thing about Janine is that you kind of always want to know what she's up to so writers can really do anything and get away with it."
When Mark enquired if there were any of Janine's traits she'd like, she pondered: "I like to borrow sometimes from Janine. I wish I was as funny as her, she's quite quick and she doesn't give a f***, she sort of says what she thinks."
Charlie has appeared in four separate stints on the show since 1999. In 2004 she famously killed her husband Barry Evans [played by Shaun Williamson] by pushing him off a cliff.

Her character also has an ongoing feud with Kat Slater [Jessie Wallace] which has led to some explosive scenes. In her most reent appearance on the show, she broke up fan favourite couple Mick Carter [Danny Dyer] and Linda Carter [Kellie Bright].
She was pivotal to Danny Dyer's exit storyline when she drove her car off a cliff which ultimately led to Mick's death as he tried to swim out to seas to save Linda.
Charlie is just one of the eleven celebrities taking part in the ITV ice dance reality show this year. The mum-of-one has already revealed her goals that she wishes to achieve on the ITV skating show this year.
Speaking to ITV about her expectations for the show she said: “If I can learn to do a little twizzle on the ice I’ll be very pleased. Getting a nice strong fit body and the glitz and glamour of it all.
"I’m more low key these days so to have an excuse to dress up and dance whilst my family come down and watch will be fun.”
Dancing on Ice airs on Sundays from 6.30pm on ITV1 or catch up on ITVX.
