Danny Dyer transforms into OAP for new TV ad

Danny Dyer has landed a brand new film role where he is the only actor.

Cockney acting legend Danny, 47, has been rolling in a host of new roles to add to his career after leaving EastEnders. Now, the star is gearing up for a number of other projects, including dressing like a heartthrob from the 1980s.

But in his latest project, Danny is now set to become the only character in a film that will hit screens at a later date. The Football Factory star has headed to Dublin later in January to start filming scenes, with the Mick Carter actor admitting he was excited to see what could come from the movie.

The film, currently titled Three Quick Breaths is described by Danny as being a "really mad concept", in which he is the only actor playing a character in the movie. As a result, Danny admitted that directors and producers are taking no chances when it comes to his health and safety.

Spilling the beans on his podcast Live and Let Dyers, Danny was forced to keep his mouth shut, but let some details of the new project slip. "I can’t talk too much about it," she squealed.

"It’s a really mad concept. I’m trying to push myself now that I’m known as sort of Marlon Brando in the acting world because of Rivals, you know.

"Even though I’ve been acting for so long anyway, this is something that is going to be a real test for me," he went on to say. "But I had to have a very, very in-depth medical for insurance reasons."

Danny went on to compare shooting his upcoming film to that of 2002 flick Phone Booth. Featuring Irish heartthrob Colin Farrell, the movie centred around a publicist who is trapped in a phone booth, all while an extortionist's sniper rifle is pointed directly at him.

"I’m the only one in this film, it’s only one character," Danny confessed. "Just me - I won’t go too into it but it’s a bit like Phone Booth with Colin Farrell.

"It’s quite a clever idea," he revealed. "And because I’m the only actor, I had two doctors waiting at my door."

The acting legend's latest move comes after he tried his hand at becoming a teacher, giving students in performing arts schools advice on how to act. He was invited to his 17-year-old daughter Sunnie's school to give some tips to the kids on how to perfect their acting skills, but was given a slap on the wrist by teachers and students alike.

"I did swear a lot in the lessons," Danny confessed during the hilarious story. However, he said he felt justified in giving them a hard time during the masterclass because he said: "Hardly any of them learned their f****** lines," which left him absolutely fuming.
