Davina McCall is back in the gym after she underwent brain surgery late last year.
Former Big Brother legend Davina, 57, has been continuing to recover after surgery following the discovery of a benign tumour in her head back in November. Since then, Davina has kept herself out of the spotlight, appearing in public very rarely, to show her appreciation for the staff that helped her.
The star had been diagnosed with a "very rare" growth called a colloid cyst, which had been found whilst she was getting a health check-up during her advocacy work for menopause. But now, as she continues to get back to normal life, Davina has hit the gym for the first time since going under the knife.
Taking to her Instagram account on Tuesday (January 7), the presenter told fans: "Ok I’m back training. Been walking daily.
"Yesterday I did 15 minutes in the gym… just to see," she added. "I’ve lost a lot of muscle so gonna eat really well and train hard!"
Davina's health journey comes as she continues to lead a fitness community titled Own Your Goals Davina. The organisation is currently running a six-week strength and sculpt challenge, being run by fitness coach Richard Callender.
Masked Singer star Davina said that she herself was going to get onto the challenge, but it doing everything at her own pace. She penned in another post: "This 'Own Your Goals Davina' challenge has come at the perfect time… feels quite humbling… but in a good way.
"Taking everything nice and slow, really listening to my body," she confirmed. "Strength and sculpt - 20 mins with Rich Callender on OYG - who is with me?"
The last major update on Davina's health came at the end of December, when the Million Pound Drop host flaunted her surgery scar with fans. The star had shown where the surgery had taken place whilst she had her hair cut by celebrity hairstylist and partner Michael Douglas.
She explained in another update that she was doing well, having left hospital and was now back home following the surgery. However, she confessed that her brain was not fully recovered as her "short-term memory is a bit remiss".
Colloid cysts are part of a group of benign brain tumours that, while technically are harmless, if left untreated, they could become malignant and cause problem over time. According to the NHS, brain tumours are typically more common in people over the age of 50 - with headaches, drowsiness and vision problems among the symptoms.
It comes as her advocacy work for women's mental health continues, having recently presented a documentary called Sex, Myths And The Menopause, which saw Davina break down stereotypes of what menopause is. She also presented a similar documentary on contraception, entitled Davina McCall's Pill Revolution.
