Davina McCall to have brain surgery to remove tumour
TV presenter Davina McCall underwent major brain surgery last week to remove a rare brain tumour.
Her partner Michael Douglass has reassured fans online that she has made an "enormous leap forward in the last 24 hours".
Taking to Instagram, the celebrity hairdresser shared a bright pink test image which read: "Massive relief to see some light breaking through [four heart emojis]. Thanks for all the good vibes coming in from all angles. Up and up."
He captioned the post: "Update folks. Thanks so much to all the well wishers. She really has made an enormous leap forward in the last 24 hours. She is out of ICU. She is 'loving awareness'. Thank you xx Michael."
The 57-year-old broadcaster previously revealed on Friday (November 15) that she had a benign brain tumour, a colloid cyst, which she described as "very rare."

It didn't take long before her famous friends and family shared their relief at Michael's reassuing update online. Former EastEnders star Patsy Palmer penned: "Sending healing" as Dame Kelly Holmes added: "Awesome news Michael."
Speaking in a short video ahead of her operation, McCall explained to her loyal followers that the benign was approximately 14mm wide and "needed to come out, because if it grows it would be bad." She added that a surgeon would remove the cyst through the top of her head in a procedure called a craniotomy.
In her concerning clip, she reassured viewers that despite the crushing news, she was "in good spirits" and would only be in hospital "for around nine days" following the life-changing surgery.
According to the NGH, non-cancerous brain tumours are slow-growing and unlikely to spread, but are still serious and can still be life-threatening if not closely monitored.

McCall's partner has been updating fans from her social media accounts while the star is recovering from surgery. This is his second update since she entered the operating theatre.
The TV personality first rose to fame when she landed her first presenting gig on MTV back in the mid 1990s before she moved over to Channel 4 to host Streetmate.
But it's fair to say she became a household name when she became the host of Big Brother from 2000 to 2010. She has since gone on to present programmes across several TV networks, and is currently presenting the ITV dating show My Mum, Your Dad.
