Daymond John Shares His Picks For Holiday Gifts From Black-Owned Businesses Following The 5th Annual Black Entrepreneurs Day

Daymond John is sharing his gift picks from black-owned businesses who have received financial assistance through Black Entrepreneurs Day following his 5th annual event on November 22nd.

The event took place at the historic Fox Theatre in Atlanta and celebrated Black entrepreneurship, drawing thousands of attendees onsite and streaming to millions worldwide. This year’s gathering was marked by inspiring conversations, special guest appearances, and generous awards to support Black-owned businesses.

This year, Black Entrepreneurs Day featured a star-studded lineup of speakers, panels, and performances. Attendees had the chance to hear from notable personalities, including Kelly Rowland, Olympian Jordan Chiles, media mogul Charlamagne Tha God, hip-hop legend Flavor Flav, and the influential duo behind Earn Your Leisure, Rahad Bilal and Troy Milings. Each shared their personal entrepreneurial journeys, offering invaluable insights and advice to the enthusiastic audience.

Parfé Diem: Local Salt Lake City Black-owned business, Parfé Diem, was awarded a $25K grant that was made possible by the NAACP and T-Mobile for Business, who sponsored the grant. Owner Parker D. Barbee plans to use the funds to grow his gourmet dessert shop, which specializes in pudding, and continue following his passion for creating delicious treats.

GaBBY Bows: Local Columbia, SC Black-owned business, GaBBY Bows, was awarded a $25K grant that was made possible by the NAACP and Constant Contact, who sponsored the grant. Mother and Daughter Owning Duo, Rozalynn & Gabby Goodwin (+ local Columbia, SC residents), will continue to ignite girls’ confidence, one barrette at a time with the help from this grant.

Vontélle: Local Brooklyn Black-owned business, Vontélle, was awarded a $25K grant that was made possible by the NAACP and Hilton, who sponsored the grant. Owners Nancey Harris & Tracy Green are aiming to provide beauty and size inclusivity to all eyeglass wearers! They have partnered with the NYC department of education to provide eyewear to foster, homeless, and immigrant children across the 5 boroughs.
