Sean 'Diddy' Combs is said to have sacrificed a bird on the morning of being acquitted of gun charges back in 2001.
The disgraced rapper is currently facing charges of sex trafficking, and new details about his bizarre and allegedly illegal behavior emerge almost daily.
Now, in a Hulu documentary named 'The Honorable Shyne', details behind a gun charge that led Diddy's prot?g? Shyne in prison were revealed.
In the documentary, Diddy's former bodyguard Gene Deal revealed how, on the morning of Diddy's acquittal, in 2001, the rapper ordered him to pull over near Central Park.
He claimed that there was a man waiting for Diddy in the park, and Diddy dropped to his knees when the man approached. The man then swirled smoke around the rapper, which Deal believed to be sage.
The man then touched Diddy with a bible and produced a cage with a bird. The rapper is said to have thrown the bird into the air before it dropped dead.
Diddy then got up and walked back to the car and, hours later, he was acquitted of the charges, dodging 15 years in prison.
What happened in the case
In the trial, Shyne - now known as Moses Barrow, the Leader of the Opposition in Belize's parliament - was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
The charges were brought up in relation to a December 1999 shooting in a Manhattan night club. Three people were injured, and witnesses claimed Diddy was one of the men who fired a gun. But he was cleared of wrongdoing despite being leveled with bribery and weapon charges.
