Joe Sugg did his best to surprise his girlfriend Dianne Buswell on Saturday night after she won Strictly Come Dancing, so well, in fact, he surprised even himself.
The couple, who met and fell in love after being paired together in the 2017 season of the hit BBC show, had a big weekend of celebrations after it was revealed Dianne, 35, and her on-screen dance partner Chris McCausland won the Glitter Ball Trophy. While the professional dancer was treated to multiple surprises by her boyfriend, the sweet set-up in their bedroom came as a surprise to both of them.
Sharing a vlog of the memorable day on his YouTube channel, Joe, 33, showed the adorable surprise he had organised for Dianne when she got home. It included a 2024 winner banner hanging between the staircases of their lavish home, fairy lights, and countless silver and white balloons blown up and scattered across the floor.
Thanking his sister Zoe Sugg and her husband Alfie Deyes for setting up the display, Joe joked that they "took a gamble" by organising it earlier that day but were "pretty confident" Dianne and Chris would win. And the set-up didn't end there. Later in the vlog, the YouTuber showed fans his and Dianne's bedroom, where he was excited to discover the surprises had continued.

Calling Dianne up, he filmed her sweet reaction as she saw the surprise, exclaiming, "That's so cute!" and she tightly held her trophy close to her chest. Zooming in on the banner, Joe took aim at the "L," which was messily drawn in, and joked that he thought it might have been done by his brother-in-law, Alfie.
Joe's surprise for Dianne was followed up with a heartfelt message on Instagram, where he shared how "proud" of his longtime girlfriend and her dance partner he was. "There are no words to describe how proud I am of you both @diannebuswell @chrismccauslandcomedy, Last night was an absolute movie. You made us laugh, you made us cry and you proved to the world that you are good enough and you can achieve anything the doubters say you can't and more."

Dot, it's been a long winding, road full of ups and downs for 7 years but you have shown pure determination & dedication and you finally got there in the best way possible and everyone has been able to see how amazing you are and what an incredible teacher you are this year. You are both inspirations and have the nations hearts on behalf of everyone, thank you."
Dianne and Chris' win marked the first time the professional dancer has won the show. It came after she reached the final with EastEnders star Bobby Brazier, 20, last year. Unfortunately, the pair ultimately lost to Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola. Dianne and Chris won against Tasha Ghouri, JB Gill, and Sarah Hadland in the season finale.
