Kamala Harris' campaign said there are still "votes to count" after she canceled her post-verdict speech at Howard University.
"We still have votes to count. We still have states that have not been called yet. We will continue, overnight, to fight to make sure that every vote is counted, that every voice has spoken," Kamala Harris's campaign co-chair Cedric Richmond said. "So you won't hear from the vice president tonight, but you will hear from her tomorrow."
Harris, who has not conceded the election, was expected to host her election night party at Howard University in Washington DC, a historically Black college where she was an undergraduate.
It comes after the Associated Press declared the crucial swing states of North Carolina, Georgia and Pennsylvania for Donald Trump. Trump currently has 267 Electoral College votes to Harris' 224.
