Sean Combs is in a waiting game at the moment. Despite wanting to be free until his trial, Diddy has not been granted any special privileges of the sort as he awaits. His trial for sex trafficking, racketeering, conspiracy and prostitution charges is expected to begin in May of next year. Meanwhile, he is "rotting" in jail.
While Diddy can't do much from inside jail, he loses support from more of his long-time acquaintances by the day. And while all of this is happening, his family continues to suffer. Their pain was exacerbated recently, as his twin daughters, D'Lila and Jessie Combs, paid tribute to their mother Kim Porter on the sixth anniversary of her untimely death.
Prosecutors allege Diddy has been breaking rules while in jail
As his family struggles with everything, Diddy has been making bad decisions in jail. The federal government filed an opposition on Friday in which it claims that the music mogul has been violating regulations of the jail.
Prosecutors allege that Diddy has done numerous misdeeds while in jail.
- Paying off other inmates in order to use their accounts via payment processing apps and commissary account deposits.
- Instructing people over the telephone while on calls to "add other individuals via three-way call".
- Implementing a "public relations" strategy over the telephone in order to "use public statements to alter public perception".
It's unclear what the penalty would be for Diddy if he were found guilty of all or any of these claims, but it certainly can't be good news in any capacity.
