Prince Harry may be thought of by some as a “disaster tourist,” but at least he made one elderly man’s sweet-toothed dream come true.
Over the weekend, the estranged British royal and his wife Meghan Markle were absolutely BLASTED by Jason Bateman’s sister Justine after they were spotted with victims of the LA fires at the Pasadena Convention Center. Not because they were lending support, but because in Justine’s opinion, it came across as if they were “touring the damage” for a “photo op” as they live about 80 miles away from the infernos in Montecito.

Meghan Markle and Harry are no better than ambulance chasers. What a repulsive "photo op" they achieved. They are "touring the damage"? Are they politicians now? They don't live here; they are tourists.

While a lot of netizens agreed, the Mayor of Pasadena Victor Gordo revealed that they were much more than just distractions — in fact, he says Harry helped fulfill one elderly fire victim’s unusual request!
While speaking to the Pasadena-Star News on Saturday, he recalled Harry asking a bedridden, elderly gentleman if he’d like any food or water that was being handed out, but the man was craving a sweet treat instead, sharing:
“The gentleman said, ‘What I’d really like is a doughnut.’”
And according to Gordo, Harry made it his mission to bring one to the displaced citizen. He recalled the Duke of Sussex telling the man:
“‘There’s no doughnut here, but I will find one.’ He takes off, and 10 minutes later, he returns with a doughnut. The gentleman looks up and says, ‘I guess I need my carbs and my sugar.’ That gentleman tonight is at the convention center and does not know it was Prince Harry who brought him that doughnut.”
HA! Can you imagine that?? Finding out later that the mystery man who brought you a doughnut is THE Prince Harry?! LOLz!
According to the mayor, the elderly gent told the 40-year-old:
“If you ever run for anything, I’ll vote for you.”
Little did he know he was talking to royalty. We guess all it takes is one sweet treat to win someone over! But in all seriousness, how nice of Harry to go out of his way to make this fire victim’s wish come true. Love that!
