DJ Koze is finally back with a new album. Music Can Hear Us, the follow-up to 2018’s Knock Knock, arrives April 4 via his own label, Pampa. Leading the LP is a long-in-the-works collaboration with Blur and Gorillaz’s Damon Albarn; watch the “Pure Love” video below.
Albarn said in a press release, “This tune has been through a profound metamorphosis over the last few years. I loved it as an egg; I loved it as a caterpillar; I loved it as a pupa; and I still love it. Thank you, Koze.”
Koze added, “In a fashion of proper slow cooking and letting go, we finally came up with this lovely song. If you’re in a hurry, go slowly as they say. Thank you, Damon, for walking this path with me.”
No album tracklist has yet been announced; the record is described in the press release as “a 64-minute return trip to space.”
