I'm finally cancer free with great gratitude and excitement about a bright future. Thank you very much for your support always," he wrote on Instagram.

Doctors detected a rumour in his kidney nine years ago, in 2015. Although the doctors managed to remove it, the cancer spread to other areas. In fact, six more tumours were removed, but one, in the liver, seemed definitive. It was the size of a lemon. He was then told he had two to three years left to live.

When he received this news and feared the worst, his attitude was to accept it philosophically. "I've had a great life, it's like I've lived five lives in one," he explained. In fact, the actor confessed that at that moment he did not feel especially sad for himself, but for his family. Despite everything, a treatment in the United States changed his future completely.

Ablation, according to the American Cancer Society, uses high-energy radial waves to heat and destroy the tumor. It is a very minimally invasive process.
