The partner of Duncan Norvelle has paid a touching tribute to the late comedian.
Duncan died on on Thursday morning at Pilgrim Hospital in Boston at the age of 66. Now, his wife Linda Trevallion has labelled him a “a gentle comedian”, and one of the last variety comics.
Earlier in the day Linda had changed her Facebook profile picture and cover photo to images of the late star. Friends and followers were quick to pay their respects in the comments section and send messages of condolence.
Linda said: "His type of comedy doesn’t happen anymore, he’s probably last of the legends of true variety comedy, so many have passed now."

ITV/REX/Shutterstock)She continued to tell PA News: "He was a gentle comedian, never swore on stage, he was a clean act, Sir Ken Dodd loved Duncan, because he said he was like him, ‘a good, clean act’, and he invited Duncan on his 80th birthday to be the entertainment for him." She added he “never made fun of” the audience, and “he only ever took the mickey out of himself”.
She also told The Sun he had died from a chest infection and sepsis. However, Linda said Duncan wasn't in any pain at the time. "He's at peace and he's made millions of people laugh in his lifetime. I've never heard anyone say a bad thing about him," she said.
Following the breaking news of his death, fans took to social media to send their own messages. One person who had previously met the family sadly wrote: "The God Cast has been a wonderful gift to me, and has enabled me to meet some of my favorite people. One of those people was the comedian Duncan Norvelle.

Duncan rose to fame on ITV's Saturday Royal variety show was aired in the early 1980s. He coined the catchphrase "Chase Me"
He also appeared on Through The Keyhole in 1991 before touring with the Ricky Tomlinson Laughter Show in 2008. He later took up the role as Buttons in Cinderella during panto season in 2009.
In reality TV, Duncan had appeared on an episode of Celebrity Come Dine with Me in 2011. He competed alongside Sean Hughes, Gina Yashere and Paul Tonkinson.
