Ecovacs came out swinging at CES 2025, revealing a slew of smart home products running the gamut from robot vacuums and lawnmowers to bizarre window-cleaning robots. The star, however, was the Deebot X8 Pro Omni — a powerful robot vacuum that makes big changes to its mopping abilities thanks to a new collaboration with Tineco.

Though it didn’t pick up a robotic arm like the Roborock Saros Z70, the Deebot X8 Pro Omni did learn some cool new mopping techniques. There are two big upgrades here, the first being additional pressure while mopping. The X8 Pro Omni can create up to 4,000Pa pressure and spin at up to 200 rpm, which should result in better cleaning than anything else we’ve seen from Ecovacs so far. The other upgrade is a self-washing mop, which continually cleans itself while mopping your floors, ensuring every mess is tackled by a clean mop.

Other notable features of the Deebot X8 Pro Omni include 18,000Pa suction while vacuuming, a swinging side brush for better coverage around furniture, and a sliding roller mop for cleaning near baseboards. You’ll also get a charging dock that automatically removes debris from the robot’s dustbin, then washes and dries its mopping pads to prepare for the next task.

Toss in a LiDAR navigation system and a new TruEdge 3D Edge Sensor to better map your home, and it’s shaping up to be a solid choice for shoppers when it arrives on February 18. Pricing is yet to be determined.

Along with the Deebot X8 Pro Omni, Ecovacs also showed off the GOAT A1 3000. This robot lawnmower is the flagship of the GOAT lineup, featuring satellite-based RTK positioning, front-facing LiDAR, and camera vision to accurately navigate your yard. Underneath the chassis, you’ll find a dual-plate cutting system, which Ecovacs says results in increased coverage and a motor that can propel it through various types of grass.

Last but not least was the quirky Winbot W2 Pro Omni — an automatic window cleaner designed to provide streak-free cleans with little manual intervention. Its portable docking station can charge the robot, allowing it to recharge its battery as it’s cleaning, ensuring it won’t run out of juice while tackling large projects. It’s best suited for large windows and uses an industry-first three-nozzle sprayer to deal with stains and clean glass surfaces crystal clear.

Expect to learn more about pricing and release dates in the coming weeks.

Ulticam shows off three AI-powered security cameras at CES 2025

The Ulticam IQ installed outside a home.

Ulticam, the new security camera brand of Xthings, revealed a lineup of three AI-powered cameras at CES 2025. The Ulticam IQ, Ulticam IQ Floodlight, and Ulticam Dot offer not just cool AI capabilities, but also free seven-day cloud storage -- which could make them a solid choice for value-minded shoppers leery about signing up for monthly storage plans.

The Ulticam IQ and IQ Floodlight are the main attractions, as they're packed with features that should pose solid competition for the best smart security cameras from Arlo, Nest, and Ring. The duo uses edge AI to quickly identify people, vehicles, and packages without needing to upload the video for server-side processing. This onboard processing should result in faster performance -- it’s also great for privacy and security, as your footage doesn’t have to leave your device.

Ultraloq showcases the first-ever ultra-wideband smart lock at CES 2025

Bolt Mission UWB + NFC installed on a white door.

Ultraloq showed off two smart locks at CES 2025 -- one of which is the first smart lock to ever offer ultra-wideband (UWB) support. The Ultraloq Bolt Mission UWB + NFC uses UWB technology to unlock automatically as you approach your front door. Similar functionality already exists on other smart locks, but UWB should allow the Ultraloq Bolt Mission to be more accurate than the competition.

The Bolt Mission uses technology similar to digital car keys, and Ultraloq says it can track the keyholder’s phone location with “centimeter-level” accuracy. As your phone gets closer to the front door, the Bolt Mission can be programmed to automatically unlock, giving you a hands-free way to get inside. Better yet, because the smart lock can detect both your distance and direction from the front door, it should prevent you from accidentally unlocking the smart lock while inside your home.

Lymow shows off robotic lawn mower with mulching blades, tracked treads at CES

The Lymow One cutting through grass.

Lymow is hoping to shake up the robotic lawn mower industry later this year with the Lymow One -- an upcoming mower equipped with mulching blades and unique tracked treads. The team’s goal is to “fully replace traditional mowers,” making your lawn maintenance routine easier than ever before. The Lymow One was on full display at CES 2025, and it boasts an impressive list of stats that make it a smart home gadget to watch ahead of its launch in April.

One of the most exciting aspects of the Lymow One is its mowing deck, which houses professional-grade mulching blades. These are common on ride-on and traditional lawnmowers and should provide a better cut than the metal sheet swing blades found on many other robotic lawn mowers. The two blades are powered by a brushless motor capable of a peak output of 1,200 watts (spinning them at 6,000 RPM and cutting at a width of 16 inches). In other words, it should have no problem cutting through even the most overgrown of backyards.
