Longtime viewers of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills remember when soap star Eileen Davidson was part of the cast. She was thick as thieves with Lisa Rinna and left the show in 2018 after only three seasons.
Earlier this week, Kyle Richards told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that she’d love to see Eileen return.
Apparently, Eileen’s open to the idea of returning. “That is so kind,” she said. “I love Kyle, and it’s nice to be missed.” But don’t hold your breath. Season 14 just started airing, and production won’t even be thinking about casting next season for a while yet.
Kyle Richards would love to have Eileen Davidson back on RHOBH
“Season fourteen only just started airing, so Bravo isn’t even looking at casting right now,” a production source told the Daily Mail. “But the door is certainly always open when it comes to bringing back old cast members, especially when it comes to someone like Eileen. She was great on the show and great to work with. Definitely one of the most grounded women to ever be on that cast, and she wasn’t afraid of anybody, which made good TV!”
Eileen’s name came up when an audience member asked if there was anyone that Kyle would like to add to the cast of RHOBH. After thinking for a moment, Kyle came up with the Days of Our Lives star.
“You know who I’ve been thinking a lot about lately? Eileen,” Kyle answered. “I love Eileen.”
Andy was in agreement with her and added, “I love Eileen. I loved that answer!”
Eileen joined RHOBH in 2014 for Season 5, alongside her close friend and fellow soap star Rinna. After three seasons as a diamond holder, she chose to leave after being offered a “friend of” role for Season 8. Despite having better things to do, she popped up in guest appearances on Seasons 8 and 10.
Eileen was more fond of some housewives than others
During her time on Beverly Hills, Eileen was close to castmates Erika Jayne and Lisa Rinna. But she’s better remembered for her feuds with Kim Richards, Brandi Glanville, and Lisa Vanderpump. LVP couldn’t resist throwing major shade at Eileen for having been married three times. When Lisa discovered that both Eileen and her husband Vince Van Patten had been married to other people when they met, she began referring to their relationship as “the affair.” Needless to say, that didn’t go over well with Eileen.
For her part, Eileen admitted in a 2020 Bravo interview that she “really enjoyed my time on [RHOBH].”
“It was definitely demanding and strange and everything else, but I learned a lot about me and a lot about human nature,” she said at the time. “And then I really enjoyed being off of it.”
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
