Elon Musk has a habit of staying in the headlines with one of the other contributions in tech and this time he has planned to set foot in gaming. Yes, you read that right, Elon Musk has announced that his AI venture xAI will begin working on an AI gaming studio.
This happened following a tweet shared by a user on X that modern game studios prioritize profit over player engagement and creativity. Elon Musk responds to the statement by saying that too many game studios are owned by massive corporations. He concluded his statement by saying that xAI will start working on an AI game studio with which they will make games great again.
Elon Musk and Video Games
Elon Musk has been very vocal about his love for video games. As claimed by him, he developed and sold his first game at the age of 12 for $500. He also carries an all-praise attitude for Elden Ring and Diablo IV. In his biography, it has been mentioned that the genius is a big fan of Polytopia, and once he even outclassed the game’s creator as well. And we have seen Tesla collaborating with games like Rocket League and Fortnite to bring the Cybertruck to the game.

Considering that there are multiple big shots already ruling the industry. Pretty recently, Netflix shut down its AAA game development wing and decided to limit Netflix games to basic titles only. It will be interesting to see how Musk will leverage AI to make games great again.
