Elon Musk’s jets took more than 355 flights this year, with 31 of those flights heading to or from near Mar-a-Lago, where President-elect Donald Trump spends much of his time, according to a Business Insider analysis.
Musk’s flights this year paint a picture of his political ambitions. One of his jets took its first trip to Palm Beach, where Mar-a-Lago is located, on February 17. A few months later, The Wall Street Journal revealed that Trump and Musk had discussed what Musk’s role in a new administration might be. Since the election, Musk’s planes have taken 25 flights to and from Palm Beach.
Musk’s planes also took 13 trips to and from swing states, where he was campaigning for Trump, and made 10 flights to and from the Washington, D.C., area.
