Elton John was seen having a meltdown and bumping heads with a producer while recording his and Brandi Carlile’s forthcoming album, “Who Believes In Angels?”

The 77-year-old music legend shared a behind-the-scenes look at the 20 days he spent at a Los Angeles recording studio with the “Highwoman” singer in a video shared to YouTube Wednesday.

“Dude, I’m just trying to make the song as best as it can be. You’re so impatient,” a producer told John before the five-time Grammy winner was shown slamming his headphones on the piano in frustration and shouting, “F–king nightmare!”

“I was exhausted, I had a lot of doubt … I was a nightmare,” the “Rocket Man” singer admitted in a voiceover. “There was tension in the studio … and I thought, ‘I don’t want to do it.'”

The two-minute video also showed John ripping up what appeared to be a piece of sheet music and tossing it to the floor.

“I’m going home,” he told his producer before conceding that he couldn’t abandon the project because other people were involved.

However, the “Tiny Dancer” singer eventually found his stride.

“Finally, it all started to flow,” he said, explaining he wanted to push his musical abilities.

Later in the clip, John burst into tears after the “immaculate” album came out the way he envisioned.

But eventually, the days started to get easier. eltonjohn/Instagram

“This has never happened to me in my whole career,” he said as Carlile, 43, comforted him.

Despite the ups and downs, John described the process as “one of the greatest music experiences” in his life.

The upcoming album comes after he wrapped up his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour in 2023.
