Elton John suggested he won't be alive for too much longer after losing his eyesight to an infection, as the legendary musician says he won't be around to see his two children get married.
The 77-year-old raises Zachary (13) and Elijah (11) with David Furnish and recently completed his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour so that he can focus on raising his family with his husband of 10 years.
The Rocket Man singer says he wants to see his two sons get married, but admits he likely won't be alive when those days arrive and that left the 62-year-old Furnish very upset as he opened up on his partner's mortality.
"That really upset me," Furnish told Disney+ in the upcoming Elton John: Never too Late. "Because in my mind I sort of think Elton is going to live for ever.
"We all think that - and Elton is so vibrant that it's an easy thing to believe, but it forces you to confront that reality."
The music titan's confession comes around the same time he revealed he lost his eyesight at the Dominion Theatre in London on December 1 after battling an infection, although he said he still enjoyed The Devil Wears Prada: The Musical.
Elton John reveals he's blind
John told ABC News that he doesn't know if he will be able to perform anymore music because he can no longer see the lyrics to judge the flow of the song after losing his eyesight in his right-eye in France.
Furnish then had to help John off the stage and the iconic performer admitted he wouldn't have been able to do it without his husband, who he met all the way back in 1993 and was in a civil partnership with from 2005 until they were permitted to marry in 2014.
"To my husband, John told the audience and Furnish. "Who's been my rock because I haven't been able to come to many of the previews...
"It's hard for me to see it but I love to hear it and it sounded good tonight OK. Thank you for coming."
