Eminem Responds To Kid Rock Mentioning Him In Pro-Donald Trump Ad

Kid Rock recently shared a pro-Donald Trump ad and mentioned his friend — and Kamala Harris supporter — Eminem. While political differences can often cause tension between loved ones, both parties found a way to handle their ideologies respectfully.

“Now that I have your attention, let me tell you, I love Eminem, we’ve been friends for many years. I don’t agree with his politics but I do give credit to him and people like Taylor Swift for standing up and not being afraid to be vocal for that which they believe,” the Detroit artist said in an Instagram video. “Thinking differently and having the freedom to do so is what makes this country great. My stance is unequivocally MAGA because I know in my mind, body and soul that president Trump will make America great again. God bless the USA.”

Slim Shady responded via X and focused on the common ground that he shares with the 53-year-old artist. “Here’s one thing @KidRock and I do agree on… GO @Lions!!!! Appreciate you, Bob,” he wrote on Sunday (Oct. 27). The Detroit Lions secured a dominant 52-14 victory over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, moving their record to 6-1 and maintaining their spot at the top of the NFC.

Eminem has been a proud and vocal supporter of Kamala Harris in this current election, and Democratic candidates in general. At a recent rally in Detroit, he introduced former President Barack Obama. “I’m here tonight for a couple of important reasons,” Em said. “As most of you know, the city of Detroit and the whole state of Michigan mean a lot to me. Going into this election, the spotlight is on us more than ever and I think it’s important to use your voice, so I’m encouraging everybody to get out and vote, please.

Marshall Mathers previously spoke about Kid Rock and his support of Donald Trump during a 2017 interview with Vulture. “Me and Bob have been friends since way back in the day, but I haven’t spoken to him in a while. The last time I did was when the thing happened to his assistant,” he said. “I reached out and told him I was here for him. As far as the politics, I’m not up on what he’s doing. I couldn’t tell if he really wanted to run for senator or was just f**king around.”
