Eminem's daughter Hailie Jade and her husband, Evan McClintock, will soon be a family of three.
The podcaster, who got married last May, celebrated the New Year with McClintock and their child, as Jade posted an Instagram carousel of her growing baby bump on Wednesday (Jan. 1). The 29-year-old took candids in front of a decorated Christmas tree, and in one shot, McClintock knelt down to kiss her stomach while she smiled upon him.
"Things are going to look so different this time next year & we can’t wait 🎁 Happy New Year everyone!!," Jade captioned the post.
Eminem shares Jade with his ex-wife, Kim Scott, and attended his daughter's wedding, where he walked her down the aisle and stuck to the father-daughter dance tradition.
The grandfather-to-be revealed Jade's pregnancy in his "Temporary" music video, which was released in October, where, in one scene, Jade gifts Eminem a blue jersey with the words "Grandpa 1" printed on the back, meaning that she's having a boy.
Jade has discussed her pregnancy on recent episodes of her podcast, Just A Little Shady, and in an October episode with her husband, the couple also did a gender reveal. Jade also shared how she was able to tell her family that she was pregnant, as seen in the "Temporary" video.
"We did it on the day of the first [Detroit] Lions game of the season, which ended up being Grandparents Day," Jade said around the one-minute mark of the video below. "So what we decided to do was we got my dad a jersey that said 'Grandpa' on the back and it worked out perfectly."
As the family was already working on footage for "Temporary," Eminem initially thought that Jade was calling him "old" until he realized that he'd actually be a grandfather. "And then I pulled out the ultrasound picture and he was like, 'Oh my God wait this is real? Like, this is happening?" Jade recalled.
