The Emmerdale star, who has been on the ITV soap since 2019, has been pronounced dead after suffering a heart attack on Christmas Day and collapsing to the floor
Emmerdale's Will Taylor has died in a tragic soap twist.
The character, played by Dean Andrews, has been a regular in the village since he first appeared on the ITV soap back in 2019. Will had recently reignited his relationship with Kim Tate (Claire King) and the pair had just renewed their wedding vows on Christmas Day when things took a dramatic turn.
He suffered a heart attack after his lies to her were exposed by returning character Joe Tate. Joe (Ned Porteous) exposed Will's plot against her with him and her former financial advisor Peter.
Will gripped his chest and collapsed to the floor, and Kim watched her husband's final moments, not taking action and left him lying there as she believed he was faking it. But on Boxing Day, it was confirmed he had died as he was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a scene that mirrored her previous husband Frank Tate's death in 1997, she got out her make-up powder and applied it to her face while "awarding" him for the "best pity me act". Will struggled to breathe and told her he didn't feel right, but it wasn't until Joe walked into the room and told her he was in fact having a heart attack that she sprang into action.
A shocked Kim suddenly raced to help him sit up, before telling Joe to call for an ambulance. Will told Kim he was sorry for what he had done and she vowed to help, but he lost consciousness and stopped breathing.
Kim tried to save Will, but by the time the paramedics arrived and tried to resuscitate him, it was too late. His daughter Dawn Taylor rushed in to find the team performing CPR on him and asked Kim what had happened.
The pair then broke down in tears as Will was declared dead and PC Swirling burst onto the scene to question Kim after Will's "sudden and explained death". Joe told Dawn he was dead within minutes if not seconds, but Kim was immediately racked with guilt for not seeing the severity of the situation.
Will had not realised the mystery man he and Peter was dealing with was Joe, who clearly wants revenge after Kim ordered his death back in 2018. Will tried to convince Kim he loved her and had halted the plot, but she didn't believe him and walked away.
