Every Disney+ Release In 2025: A Guide to New TV Shows and Movies

2025 is going to be a big one for Disney+! The streaming platform announced all of its upcoming releases coming next year — from Percy Jackson to Goosebumps and Hulu shows such as The Bear. Keep reading to see the full list.

One show we’re excited to see return in 2025 is, of course, Percy Jackson. The second season of the show based on Rick Riordan‘s beloved book series of the same name. After season 1 first premiered in December 2023, the show’s second season was finally confirmed in February 2024, much to fans’ delight.

“Rich in magic, wonder, adventure and heart, Percy Jackson and the Olympians captivated the imaginations of viewers of all ages everywhere,” said Ayo Davis, president, Disney Branded Television, in a statement at the time. “We’re thrilled to embark on an exciting new quest and a season two with Rick Riordan, our fantastic partners at 20th Television, and the exceptional ensemble of cast and creative talent that bring this story to life.”

In his own statement, Rick wrote: “I can’t wait to bring the next season of Percy Jackson to Disney+! Raise anchors. Hoist the mainsail. All hands on deck, demigods. We’re heading for the Sea of Monsters!”

Each season of the show follows one novel from the 5-book series, with season 2 following Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters. The second book sees Percy returning to Camp Half-Blood, when its magical protective barriers begin to fail after someone poisons Thalia’s tree. The only solution? A dangerous quest through the Sea of Monsters, of course. All of season 1’s stars are expected to return, including Walker Scobell as Percy, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth and Aryan Simhadri as Grover.
