No one’s sexuality should ever be the plot point of a storyline. But when you’re on reality TV like Kyle Richards, sometimes it is hard to keep your private life, well, private. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star had a rough Season 14. Between arguing with her close friends like Dorit Kemsley and figuring out her marriage with Mauricio Umansky, the actress had her hands full. Recently, Kyle opened up about her newfound peace and shared her thoughts with followers.
Kyle Richards sparked rumors with Morgan Wade
The friendship with Morgan Wade during Season 13 came with a big reaction. Fellow cast members and fans were curious about the level of their partnership. After episodes showed Kyle getting tattoos with Morgan and other intimate days out, it was hard for Bravo viewers to not want some questions answered. During the reunion, Andy Cohen asked the juicy questions about the country singer’s impression of the show. “She’s never seen the show. It was a lot of scrutiny for her she was not comfortable with,” Kyle responded which was matched with a roll of Andy’s eyes.
Andy noted that many fans thought Kyle and Morgan’s chemistry was electric. But when Andy asked the group, “Did you all think they were together?” The question was met with silence. For many, including Annemarie Wiley, it felt like “Kyle found somebody who supports her and makes her feel loved.” Whether Kyle had a girl crush on Morgan or not, the diamond holder made sure during the reunion to hold her cards close to her chest.
Kyle Richards bares all at the Season 13 reunion
Rumors lit up once again after Morgan released her music video “Fall in Love with Me,” which showcased Kyle in steamy scenes with the singer. As the Season 13 reunion continued, Kyle defended Morgan when opinions were shared that the singer might be using her for clout. “That’s ridiculous. She’s a critically acclaimed musician. She cares about making music, and she’s given up being a household name to continue making her music.”
In the music video, Kyle and Morgan share a kiss, which becomes a topic of conversation. After explaining to Andy that she was nervous and had never kissed a girl, Kyle revealed, “If I’m being honest with myself, I was obviously curious in order to say yes.” Kyle looked flustered but seemed relieved to be able to add, “I said yes for a reason. And she’s hot. What can I say?”
Kyle Richards is talking openly about her future
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star recently spoke with Page Six about her sexuality. Kyle is showing that uncomfortable subjects are okay to talk about which is what viewers need to know. “It was the most difficult conversation I’ve ever had with my children, and I was terrified to have that conversation. I just wanted to be as honest as I possibly could,” Kyle shared. Further, the Bravo star wasn’t happy about the media reports, noting, “There were stories out there about me and … this did make me wonder, you know, and question myself.”
Kyle continued, “I really never thought like this before. This is not the way I was raised. That’s not the way my mind even operated.“ The Halloween actress shared she was anxious about talking to her children, adding, “And all of a sudden, I was thinking like that, and I wanted to be as honest with them as possible because they are my best friends.”
Kyle always wants to walk the walk for her daughters, and that is aspirational. She added, “I like to lead by example, and I thought, ‘You know if this is what I’m going through and feeling, I want them to always feel comfortable enough to share with me the hardest conversations and know that they’ll be accepted no matter what.” The entire conversation about her fluidity was pretty powerful stuff. For Kyle the most important part was “to have their support — regardless of what happens in my life — means the world to me. They just want me to be happy. After we got past that difficult part of the conversation, the jokes that have ensued!”
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills can be streamed on Peacock.
