Eoghan McDermott is expecting his first child with his girlfriend.
The former 2FM presenter shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday evening.
In a joint post with girlfriend, actress Alessandra Heredia, Eoghan posted a sweet video of an ultrasound, alongside pictures of Alessandra cradling her bump, with the caption: "The next chapter".

It wasn't long before the couple were inundated with well wishes from friends and followers.
"CONGRATULATIONS to you both," one person wrote.
"WOW!!! Congratulations," added a second.
While a third person gushed: "So happy for you both".
Eoghan has kept a low profile and has largely stayed out of the public eye since his sudden departure from 2FM in 2021.
He previously hosted the breakfast show with Doireann Garrihy, but was eventually replaced by Donncha O'Callaghan and Carl Mullan.
In 2022, Eoghan broke up with his long-term girlfriend Aoife Melia.
Speaking on social media at the time, the TV and radio presenter said: “All I can say is that the last 18 months have been devastating & life-altering in ways that I haven’t fully processed yet. I met Aoife 15 years ago & think she has been and will remain the most wonderful person I’ve ever known.
“I’m sorry we didn’t get to see our story have a happy ending and so sorry for the turmoil that upended her life, through no fault of her own. All I can do is thank her for the many wonderful years together and wish her every happiness in her new life.
“Pretty much every bit of myself I’ve worked on & improved over the years has been on account of wanting to live up to her standards and match her best qualities. She made me kinder, gentler, more patient, less selfish and better in most ways a person could measure.
“I hope she finds the happiness and peace she so richly deserves. That’s all. Take care everyone. Look after yourselves.”
It is not known how long Eoghan has been dating new girlfriend Alessandra, who works as an actress. The happy couple are based in Australia.
