Exes Kate Beckinsale and Matt Rife Spotted Getting Steamy at Globes Afterparty

Kate Beckinsale and Matt Rife might be exes, but things looked anything but cold between them at the Netflix Golden Globes afterparty.

According to a Page Six insider, the 51-year-old actress and the 29-year-old comedian were spotted sharing a few smooches at Spago in Beverly Hills on Sunday, January 5.

"Her arms were around his neck, and his arms and hands were around her waist," the source revealed. "They were very close, and then I saw them kiss a couple of times." Another source added, "They're friendly exes and were just having funny conversations."

The duo first dated in 2017 when Beckinsale was 43 and Rife was 21. Their romance reportedly lasted about a year before they went their separate ways. While things appeared rocky after their breakup — Rife famously told Pete Davidson to "run" during the Underworld star's relationship with him in 2019 — the two have since smoothed things over.

"I gave that advice because I was only speaking from personal experience, having been together and finding out that we weren't the most compatible match," the Wild 'N Out alum told Elle in a 2023 interview. "I wanted to make sure that both of them were careful with their emotions and didn't head into something that they also wouldn't, that also wouldn't work out."

He added, "I regret saying that. Pete, if you're out there, sorry I said that. Kate, I also apologize that I said that. I shouldn't have said that."

At the Globes bash, the romantic moment between Beckinsale and Rife reportedly happened near the end of the night. "They were in front of everyone in the corner of the main dining room," the insider shared with the outlet. "By this time it wasn't packed, people were filtering out."

In addition to Rife and Davidson, 31, the English actress has been romantically linked with Michael Sheen, with whom she shares 25-year-old daughter Lily Mo, director Len Wiseman, and rapper Goody Grace. Meanwhile, Rife's dating history includes actress Jessica Lord and Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale.
