A fan has spoken out about being mistaken for Taylor Swift at a Kansas City Chiefs’ fame.
The fan posted a video to TikTok describing the experience. The fan goes by the name Olivia on the page.
“This is really random. I’ve never posted on TikTok before,” the fan said, confirming that she was at the game and “was sitting in a box seat with my best friend; we were having a really, really nice time.”
“I would see that a lot of people would take pictures of me and wave to me and I would wave back because I didn’t want to be mean or rude and I was like maybe they just think I’m Taylor Swift,” the fan said.
The Fan Said She Does Believe There Is a Resemblance
Olivia said that she recognizes she resembles the pop star. “I can see it,” she said in the TikTok video.
“From far away maybe they thought because of my hair, the way my makeup was done, because I had red lipstick on, but yeah people would do that,” she said. The video shows that Olivia does share a similar hairstyle to Swift, with bangs.
“At the end of the game, a staff member came up to me and said, ‘You know, you’re all over Twitter and TikTok, right?'” she said. “I said, ‘What are you talking about?'”
According to Olivia, she subsequently scrolled through X and, “I see a bunch of photos of me and my friend in the box.”
She said that people were saying, “It was Taylor Swift.” Olivia apologized to fans who were mistaken.
“I’m sorry to the people who thought I was Taylor Swift. But yeah everybody was like is this Taylor Swift in the white sweater. It was me,” she said in the TikTok video.
“There were a bunch of videos of me standing up or me sitting down or talking to my friend. It was a whole thing. I have pictures of me and my friend at the game in our box,” she added.
“I have pictures of us where we were sitting, you know. I have a lot of pictures, so yeah. I am so sorry to people that thought I was Taylor Swift. But I hope you guys had a really nice time at the game. But yeah. Very sorry about that one.”
